CAINA’s Mission

In support of the Catholic Church's New Evangelization, the Catholic Apologetics Institute of North America (CAINA) provides informative and interesting presentations and writings to help Catholics better understand and uphold our faith heritage to an increasingly secular society in need of hope and the Christian vision.

CAINA fosters a New Apologetics for the New Evangelization by helping Catholic adults and youth better know and share WHY we believe what we do.

Faith and the Big Questions

Faith and the Big Questions is CAINA's Catholic apologetics series of multimedia presentations that will help adults, as well as high school and college age students, respond to questions about our faith. The need to better understand and explain the basics of our faith is experienced by many Christians today and is becoming more critical in our increasingly secular Western society.

The six presentations in the Faith and the Big Questions series are:

This series of live, on-site presentations has two objectives. The first is to help those who are searching for their own answers to these “big questions” in life. The second is to equip Catholics to better respond to St. Peter’s challenge to “always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have” (1 Peter 3:15). In other words, these sessions are intended to help strengthen faith, as well enable us to better explain and share our faith.

These custom-developed sessions are dynamic and interactive, featuring modern multimedia presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint® with embedded video clips), as well as optional small group discussion and engaging activities for students.

A popular option is to start with a 2-part mini-series on science and faith. The first multimedia presentation covers the scientific and human evidence of God's existence and the second discusses the Catholic Church's position on evolution and creation.

When done with parish youth groups and college campus ministries, this program is best presented using two sessions per year over a 4-year rotating cycle. For more info. on scheduling this apologetics series with high school and college students, please CLICK HERE.

This program (also called “Faith Challenges”) has received an official Nihil Obstat from the Roman Catholic Vicariate Apostolic of Arabia and is approved for catechetical credit by the Catholic Diocese of Arlington, Virginia.
