Our Lady of Fatima and the Fall of Communism
Presentation Overview:
In 1917, the Virgin Mary appeared in Fatima, Portugal, with a message of peace for the world. However, she also predicted the coming of a terrifying and bloody political movement–communism. The Bolshevik Revolution shortly after her final apparition ushered in an unprecedented age of political turmoil as Russia sought to spread communism throughout the world. Humanity lived in fear during most of the 20th century until the historic consecration of Russia was made by Pope John Paul II in 1984. This presentation provides a fascinating look at the amazing events that led to the fall of communism in Russia and Eastern Europe and their links to Our Lady of Fatima, including the key role of Pope St. John Paul II.
