Faith and the Big Questions

Faith and the Big Questions is CAINA’s Catholic apologetics series of multimedia presentations that will help adults, as well as middle/high school and college age students, respond to questions about our Faith. The need to better understand and explain WHY we believe what we do is experienced by many Catholics today and is becoming more important in our increasingly secular Western society.

The seven presentations in CAINA’s Faith and the Big Questions series are (click/tap title for more info):

This series of apologetics presentations, which can be done either online or on-site, has two objectives. The first is to help those who are searching for their own answers to these “big questions” in life. The second is to equip Catholics to better respond to St. Peter’s challenge to “always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have” (1 Peter 3:15). In other words, these sessions are intended to help strengthen faith, as well enable us to better explain and share our faith.

CAINA also has a popular presentation, The Science and Significance of Eucharistic Miracles, which highlights the importance of the Holy Eucharist and provides an overview of the amazing findings of scientific studies of several Eucharistic miracles.

CAINA also has an insightful presentation, How Church and Faith Enhance Mental and Physical Health, which highlights the findings of scores of scientific studies that show regular churchgoers tend to not only have better mental health and life outcomes, but also better physical health.

CAINA also has a new presentation, The Significance and Science of Our Lady of Guadalupe, which covers the history of Our Lady’s apparitions at Guadalupe nearly 500 years ago and presents the amazing results of modern scientific analysis that has been performed on the cloak of St. Juan Diego, a spectacular relic which survives to this day.

And, CAINA also has a presentation, Lourdes and the Miraculous Cures, which reviews the history of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s apparitions to 14-year-old Bernadette Soubirous in 1858 and highlights several of the thousands of amazing cures that have taken place in Lourdes, France.

And, CAINA also has another presentation, Our Lady of Fatima and the Fall of Communism, which provides a fascinating look at the events that led to the fall of communism in Eastern Europe and Russia and their links to Our Lady of Fatima, including the key role of Pope St. John Paul II.

All these custom-developed presentations are dynamic and interactive, featuring modern multimedia presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint® with embedded video clips), as well as optional small group discussion and engaging activities for students.

A popular option is to start with a 2-part mini-series on science and faith. The first multimedia presentation covers the scientific and human evidence of God’s existence and the second discusses Catholic teachings on evolution and creation.

This apologetics series is also popular with students at Catholic middle and high schools, parish youth groups, and college campus ministries. For more information on doing these sessions with middle/high school and college students, please CLICK HERE.

This program (also called “Faith Challenges”) has received an official Nihil Obstat from the Roman Catholic Vicariate Apostolic of Arabia and is approved for catechetical credit by the Catholic Diocese of Arlington, Virginia.
