The Case for the Resurrection
Presentation Overview:
A central belief of Christianity is that Jesus Christ rose from the dead after being brutally crucified by the Romans. But surveys show that a majority of American adults do not believe in the divinity or resurrection of Jesus. So how can we know the Resurrection, which signifies Jesus’ divinity, really happened? This presentation explores key evidence in support of Jesus’ Resurrection, including numerous eyewitness accounts of the Risen Lord, the transformed lives of Jesus’ followers, and the amazing growth of early Christianity in the face of intense persecution. Several videos enhance the presentation of these rational reasons to believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Attendees are also introduced to alternative theories proposed over the years to “explain away” the Resurrection, as well as the fallacies of each theory. This presentation concludes by examining the astonishing results of several scientific studies of the Shroud of Turin, which many believe is significant evidence in support of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Therefore, this apologetics presentation strengthens faith, dispels doubts, and enables attendees to better explain to skeptical friends and family how we can know that the Resurrection is true.
